Prepare for Life

The "Ready for Life" joint working in CHS Alternatively, CEDAR and Fe y Alegría. Their goal is to promote access to quality educational opportunities to children and adolescents as a way to combat child labor.

The project started in November 2006 and sought from the beginning to benefit 10,500 children and adolescents between the ages of 10-17 years, during his four years of implementation. Its areas of intervention are: Lima, Callao, Trujillo and Iquitos.

Alternative CHS is responsible for implementing the project in the city of Iquitos, capital of the province of Maynas and specifically in the urban districts of San Juan Bautista and Punchana, where he carried out the main activities.

At this stage, just over two years of project implementation, Alternative CHS has achieved a number of advances in each of the four components that the project uses to eradicate child labor and its worst forms in Iquitos, making awareness civil society and engaging in activities of prevention, rescue and sustainability.
